Getting Ready to Paraglide Alone or in Tandem

Paragliding will require some experience and training if you want to go alone. However, tandem flights are readily available for beginners and other individuals who just want to experience the thrill without having to do much. You have to pick the right agency and institution who can assist you on your course without hurting your budget. Here’s how.

Going Solo

First of all, you need to find the right paragliding school that is offering classes and lessons so you can become certified and licensed. There are beginners’ courses or level 1 classes that aim to help beginners familiarize themselves with the paraglide. They can learn how to inflate the material, take off on small nursery slopes after a couple of days and fly from higher regions like a mountain and land successfully after a few more days. The flight may be done alone with the help of radio connection from an instructor. You will be guided by the instructor on how to take off and land successfully. Higher Levels

After you have tried flying on safer courses, you may want to up the challenge a bit and go for intermediate or advanced courses. You can also independently gauge whether or not it is safe to take off or fly over some regions based on the weather and temperature. You can then choose your route up to the landing site. Advanced Classes

The objective of advanced classes is to assist individuals with thermals and teach them how to acquire altitude. This is usually linked with level 2 courses.
