ADVANCE PROGRESS 3

Unique Versatility Practical, comfortable and universal:
Advance Progress 3 reversible harness provides great versatility in a compact form. Whether for travel, training, thermal flying, short hike and flys or freestyle manoeuvres the allrounder in sizes S, M and L makes sure its pilots are always best equipped for all their adventures.

The all-in-one harness is now equipped with the removable Air-Foam Hybrid Protector, already tried and tested in the AXESS 3 Air allround harness. This provides full protection from the very start of takeoff. The reserve is built into the protector and is now stowed under the pilot’s seat.

Enhanced and lengthened
Legpads as well as ingenious lower back support make the PROGRESS 3 extremely comfortable in flight, the ergonomically shaped mesh section in the back of the rucksack, and comfortable shoulder straps help the pilot to carry his equipment.

The harness comes with a Carbon speedbar and the new Edelrid FORAS carabiners.

Versatile use

The Advance Progress 3 is a fully-configured paraglider harness and a compact rucksack. Considered with its low weight (3.6 kg for the M size), it is perfect for those who prefer low volume paragliding equipment.

Safety from the start

The PROGRESS 3 Air-Foam Hybrid Protector has an ingenious interior. After the rucksack turns into a harness the protector fills with air within one to two minutes. The reversible harness then has fully-functioning protection prior to takeoff.

Top comfort for flying and carrying

Since 2008 3D development techniques for ADVANCE harnesses and rucksacks have guaranteed unique levels of sitting and carrying comfort – as well as their clean outlines. The effect is doubled in the case of the PROGRESS 3. When a harness, its ergonomic seat surface and legpads conform to the pilot’s shape in flight: as a rucksack its shoulder straps and back section generously share the loads. very versatile comprehensively safe doubly comfortable

Protection from the start

The removable Air-Foam Hybrid Protector is an air(bag) protector with integrated foam skeleton. It is therefore light and compact like a conventional airbag, with the difference that it is fully inflated before takeoff, so providing the full protection of a foam protector.

How can it do this? This airbag has PU walls that form its permanently remembered framework. The tensions continuously shared within this structure assemble it into its correct shape as soon as the rucksack is reversed into a harness. The protector then takes up its shape and full volume automatically.

The Air-Foam Hybrid Protector is an ADVANCE development. It has been in successful use for a number of years in the AXESS 3 Air allround harness.

High Comfort

Thanks to modern 3D methods of harness development the no-seatboard PROGRESS 3 fits the pilot’s body perfectly in flight. Enhanced and lengthened Legpads, and individually adjustable lower back support guarantee maximum flying comfort. Legpad effectiveness and sophisticated harness geometry also give the reversible harness precise weightshift response. PROGRESS 3 comfort begins on the ground: the Legpads allow maximum freedom of movement for takeoff and landing.

Reserve in the Protector

For the PROGRESS 3 the reserve compartment is integral with the Protector. The reserve is now stowed under the pilot’s seat, no longer behind the small of the back as for the PROGRESS 2. Safe connecting 1: Easy Connect The PROGRESS 3 has the Easy Connect System. Coloured markings on the harness carabiner loops help the pilot clip in to an ADVANCE paraglider that also has Easy Connect.

Safe connecting 2: Edelrid FORAS

For the first time for a PROGRESS the PROGRESS 3 has Edelrid FORAS carabiners and anti-twist carabiner securings. The 51 gram light paraglider carabiners have a breaking strain of 23 kN and were developed at the initiative and in coordination with ADVANCE, specially for narrow webbing up to 25 mm wide.

What’s special? The FORAS opens to the side! This gives the Twistlock alu carabiner a wide opening space which makes it much easier to clip to paraglider risers.

Speed system included

The PROGRESS 3 will be delivered with a carbon speedbar. The harness speed system has easy-running Ronstan ball-bearing pulleys and comes ready-mounted.

Optional footrest

The PROGRESS 3 has a footrest as an option. It is a part of the harness certification and will be delivered with its matching speed bar in the “Soft” version.

Comfortable Rucksack

Ergonomically-shaped back support from mesh material, body- mounded shoulder straps and a padded hip strap give the PROGRESS 3 rucksack mode maximum carrying comfort. Hand loops on the shoulder straps make hiking easier on the pilot. The zip around the edge has a novel system which prevents it from catching rucksack contents.
